Three things define an eSIM plan: where it works, how long it lasts, and how much data it includes. Let us take them in order.
Buy slightly more than your trip length. Delayed flights, a long final day at the airport and time-zone shifts move the end date more often than people expect. On a nine-day trip, a ten-day plan beats being offline on day nine.

Running out does not mean reinstalling anything: you can add data to the same line from your account. When you are torn between two sizes, the smaller one plus a top-up is usually cheaper than over-buying upfront.
Unlimited plans never run out of data, but speed may drop after a certain volume (fair usage). Worth it if you stream for hours or work off a hotspot; unnecessary for maps and messaging.
Each product page lists the local carriers you will connect to and whether 4G/5G is supported. Spending time outside the cities? Pick the plan listing the carrier with the widest coverage. Staying downtown? You will not notice a difference.

As early as you like. Validity starts on the first connection at your destination, not at purchase. We recommend installing it at home.
If the QR code has not been generated or has never been installed, it can be refunded and replaced. Once installed, a refund is not possible - talk to our support team in that case.
