How to Install and Activate an eSIM on iPhone: A Step-by-Step Guide

Setting up an eSIM on an Apple iPhone is incredibly quick and straightforward. Once you receive your Penyu QR code via email or dashboard, follow these steps to get connected.

Prerequisites: - A compatible iPhone (iPhone XS, XR, or newer). - An active Wi-Fi or stable cellular data connection to download the eSIM profile. - A carrier-unlocked iPhone.

Step-by-Step Installation: 1. Go to Settings: Open the "Settings" app on your iPhone. 2. Open Cellular: Tap on "Cellular" (or "Mobile Data" depending on your region). 3. Add eSIM: Tap "Add eSIM" (or "Add Data Plan"). 4. Scan QR Code: Tap "Use QR Code" and scan the QR code provided by Penyu. If you cannot scan it, you can enter the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code manually. 5. Label Your eSIM: Label the new plan as "Penyu Travel" or "Secondary" to keep it separate from your main line. 6. Set Default Line: Keep your primary physical SIM as the default line for Calls and SMS, but select "Penyu" for Cellular Data. 7. Turn on Data Roaming: Turn on "Data Roaming" only for the Penyu eSIM line. This is crucial for connection at your destination.
